Rhythm Beads [Jan. 17th, 2008|02:16 pm]
schaharazade
Holy WOWZAS have I been busy as of late!!!

"What's been keeping you so busy 'zade?"

"Rhythm Beads!!!"

"What's a 'rhythm bead'?"

"So glad you asked! Here's what rhythm beads are..."

Now, Horsetopia has a "Tack Swap" thread, and, as I am off-and-on looking for some tack (sport boots and a black English bridle), I figured I'd mention them.

The response I've gotten has been AMAZING!!

Currently, I swapped a set for a pair of black sport boots, and I've sold 6 sets, and I currently am working out deals for about 5-7 more!

It also didn't hurt that someone YESTERDAY asked about jewelry for horses, and someone ENTIRELY ungoaded mentioned that I made some "bling" for horses!

Right now, here's a completed set that's already sold:

The set I'm trading for the sport boots is all done in lime green (I'll be getting pictures when Hunter gets home).

I'm waiting for some beads to come in so that I'll be able to get 3 more sets done and in the mail.

I need to re-check my list because I'm forgetting some right now I believe.

I'm very excited. :) I suspect Hunter's just annoyed by it, and this isn't a viable business because to undercut other sets online, I'm not really getting paid for my time (I am, but not much), but...I'm getting LOTS of compliments on mine as people say they look nicer than any other sets they've seen, and that they're very fancy and just pretty. *preen*

Hooray!! :)

What the heck? [Jan. 17th, 2008|09:27 am]
schaharazade
Can someone PLEASE explain to me why the index finger on my right hand keeps twitching and 'spazzing' randomly? It's beginning to bother me.

Well, it's bothering me because in my head I keep flashing back to this article about Michael J. Fox. Now I am DARN good and well aware it's not the onset of Parkinson's (hence why I think the internet can be a BAD thing as to many people self-diagnose and freak themselves out), but it sure is annoying!!

To make it stop, I'll stare at it and will it to stop. Well, that or I'll make a fist until I can feel the muscle down the side to stop twitching.

ARGH!! There it goes again!!!

Off to spend a bit of time in the computer room. I've pulled the books off the bookshelves and am attempting to re-shelve them. BIG project! We're such bibliophiles!!!

Looking at the world through rose colored (prescription) glasses [Jan. 12th, 2008|06:08 pm]
schaharazade
We're really having trouble finding Hunter glasses at ANY of the local places that he both likes and are comfortable to wear.

I've finally just given up hope, and like most people do nowdays, I've hit the net to see if I can find anything for him.

And, sure enough! I've found something! A Great Discovery: www.ZenniOptical.com.

They have a HUGE selection of frames and lenses such as this:

(I think that'd look snappy on Hunter!)

They've got everything from frameless, to titanium, to steel, to aluminum to almost ANYTHING you can picture glasses frames being made out of!

And the bonus? The cost.

Seriously, the cost is SO low because rather than go through a middleman, ZenniOptical.com sells direct to you.

Talk about passing the savings!!

Just funny! [Jan. 9th, 2008|10:11 pm]

Someone posted this on Horsetopia.com and I got a huge kick out of it, so thought I'd share it. :)

Enjoy. :)

BWAHHAHAHAA!!!!

ETA: Hunter mentioned that the embedded video isn't appearing. :(

In which case, clickie this link here.

PLEASEEEEEEE say it works now. :) Seems like LJ hates embedding videos for me. :( Which is odd because the embedded video shows up for me. Frustrating!! :p

LifeSize Communication! :) [Jan. 9th, 2008|07:47 pm]

Being that Hunter usually works out of town, I decided to look around for a means of videoconferencing for us so that, even when he's not here, we can still see each other, and talk with one another. Sorry, but there are times a phone conversation just isn't the same thing as seeing someone in the "flesh".

I happened to find a fascinating website that offers products so that you can Video Conference from home, the office, ANYWHERE!!

In fact, you can have up to six people connect, and, in HIGH DEF!!

Lifesize.com offers products that are just plug and play for those of us who aren't tech wizards.

I plan on looking into this with a bit more detail, but I find it to be lightyears beyond the outdated methods of webcams.

Thank goodness I ~finally~ remembered!

Hunter and I picked up books 2 and 3 of "The Bartimaeus Trilogy" by Jonathan Stroud in hardback from HalfPrice Books, but we couldn't locate book 1 "The Amulet of Samarkand" in the 2 stores we stopped in.

I managed to FINALLY find the hardback edition on eBay. I can find it in paperback, no problemo, but hardback was next to impossible! Cripes!!

But I found it, so that's all good. :)

So far for Austin's birthday, Hunter picked up some farm type toys from Atwood's (hooray for post-Christmas sales!), we've got the books, and I picked him up the DVD of "Holes" (he LOVES Louis Sacher's books and has read the book "Holes" multiple times). Mom and Dad are sending him a "Paper Airplane a Day" calender and mom's trying to get this dog blanket done for Austin in time for his birthday too.

AND next Sunday, we're taking Austin to the rodeo (okay, so all of us want to go *heh*), but it's his first rodeo and he's pretty excited about it. It's been...man...since probably 1997 since I last attended a rodeo (Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo), and then it was really just to see Reba McEntire.

And, Austin wants to eat out at Outback. We'll see. That's kind of up to Hunter overall. I had said "Well, at least he doesn't want to eat at Tokyo Steakhouse", of course, by the time it's all said and done, it's about the same cost anyway.

Make a better match [Jan. 9th, 2008|06:19 pm]
schaharazade
I've got single friends who read through here, so, I figured I'd share something interesting that I stumbled across.

There are SO many different dating sites out there, and it's SO hard to figure out which site will work best for you, and which sites are a good match for ~you~.

Well, there happens to be a site out there that can help you as they review singles dating services.

Now, the sites that are reviewed on PrimeDatingSites.com aren't sites that you haven't heard of. No, they're sites that you've heard of; from eHarmony.com, to Match.com, FriendFinder.com and more.

What I really like about the reviews given is that PrimeDatingSites.com gives an in-depth, detailed review about the site you're looking at. They go into details about what makes each site unique, give a history of the site itself, and, I personally believe that with the details that they give about each site, it helps you find a site that matches your own personal preferences.

I personally recommend this site after having spent time looking through it and reading about each of the sites that they review. I think it's fantastic that this resource is available for FREE to use. FREE!!

Please enjoy. :)

I keep checking Target.com hoping that they'll restock my holiday dinnerware. *sigh*

It's pretty, isn't it?

Well, think I'm going to give up that ghost and just buy it next year. Ahhhh well.

Back to randomly surfing around Target.com 's website ;)

Be comfortable in your own skin [Jan. 9th, 2008|01:22 pm]
schaharazade
Ladies, let's face it, men are obsessed with the size, length, girth, shape, form of their own genitalia, aren't they? It's something that they talk about at length in the locker rooms, with their buddies (okay, so usually in THOSE cases they're bragging), and, it's something that they talk about with us, their ladies, don't they?

"Was your ex bigger, better, more attractive than me?"

Sound familiar?

Now, when was the last time you sat down and talked with your boyfriend/husband about your concerns about your genetalia's appearance?

What about with your girlfriends?

Probably never, right?

The reason I bring this is up to admit, I am VERY self-conscious about the appearance of my own. I'm a bit embarrassed to admit that

However, there are now options for us women who happen to be uncomfortable with their appearance. And, that option is vaginal cosmetic surgery.

Why should we feel stress or embarrassment about our appearance? We deserve to feel beautiful all over.

And, the doctors of the Atlanta Vaginal Rejuvenation & Cosmetic Surgery Center, Doctors John R. Miklos and Robert D. Moore are award winning surgeons who are known internationally renowned in the field of reconstructive vaginal surgery.

They have experience, they have operated on patients in 46 states and 25 countries, and they're professionals in this field.

You can't go wrong. Check out their testimonials from pleased patients. That speaks volumes to me, and I hope to you too.
